Happy Father's Day!

 Happy Father's Day Ryan!!!  You are an amazing father!  Our kids are so blessed to call you dad!  I am so grateful for all that you do for them and me.  Thank you for all of the hard work and sacrifices you make for us.  We love you!!!

A day in Salt Lake...

We met up with Cindi, Jeff, Kira, Gavin, Becki, Allie and Grandma for a day trip to Salt Lake.   We went to the Church History Museum.  They have a great children's exhibit on the Book of Mormon and Latin American heritage.  The kids loved it.  They had fun playing and exploring.  Josh's favorite was their touch screen art program.

 After, we walked over to Temple Square...

We played in the fountains at City Creek (the favorite of Josh's day).  He loves to get wet!

We ended the afternoon with a picnic and playtime at Liberty Park.  They have a great park with a splash pad and a "lazy river" to play in.

Family fun...

So last week, Addi turned five months old.  I can't believe how fast time is going.  Each month I take a picture of her with her boppy pillow to see how much she grows. Now instead of laying on it, she can sit in it.  Who knows, maybe next month she'll be able to sit up all on her own.

Cindi, Jeff, Kira and newest cousin Gavin came to visit.  He's just four months younger than Addi.  Look how cute they are together!  They're already best buddies.

Josh finished swimming lessons.  He did great!  He can't wait to go swimming this summer to show off his new skills!

It's been a busy week...

Aunt Stefanie came for a quick visit.  Addi had a rough start, but she quickly warmed up to her :)

Time for the sports recap...

Josh finished the spring season of soccer.  He did awesome!  He was one of the top players.  He scored lots of goals.  He can't wait until next season.

Josh started swimming lessons.  Within five minutes of the first class, they moved Josh up two classes.  He is a fish out of water.  He loves to swim and he's doing a great job!

 Josh also started t-ball.  You thought watching four year old soccer was funny, you should see t-ball.  The kids don't have a clue what they are doing.  They were just excited to get a hat and shirt.  After a bit of practice with Dad, we think Josh has catching down.  Now to work on the rules and the jest of the game.

Garden fun...

We decided to get ambitious this year.  We moved our garden and quadrupled the size.    Since we're not very patient to wait a month, we planted everything today.  Let's cross our fingers that it doesn't freeze at night and kill everything.  We planted eight tomato plants, two red peppers, cilantro, rosemary and basil.  We are excited to make caprese salad, BLTs, homemade Spaghetti Sauce and Salsa. 

Josh took over our old garden spot.  He planted lots of strawberries.  He can't wait to eat them!

Trying to find some time...

So it's been quite awhile since our last post.  Who knew that having two kids would make life so busy?!  I think I'm finally getting back to my old schedule (knock on wood).  Hopefully I'll be more diligent with keeping the blog up to date :)

  

 Addi - one month (January)

In January we went down to Salem to visit my Grandparents.  It was their first chance to see Addi.  I'm so glad that we were able to visit them.  Grandpa passed away on April 1. He was the best grandpa!  I will miss him very much!

 Addi was blessed in March.  The blessing was beautiful.  Ryan did an amazing job!  Addi wore a beautiful dress that was made from embroidered and laced pillowcases done by her Great and Great-Great Grandmas, both of which she was named after (all three have the middle name of Grace).  Big thanks to my neighbor Janie who made the dress.

 This year we bought a state park pass (such a good deal).  Josh was so excited to go to Antelope Island.  He loves watching for the buffalo.  Luckily we were able to see some!

Josh always scores big at Easter time.  He was bombarded with tons of candy!  He also got a baseball mitt and ball (t-ball starts in a few weeks).

Josh played soccer again this spring.  He is on the Green Dragon team.  His is one of their star players.  Every game he plans on scoring at least a hundred goals :)

Addi started eating solid foods.  She loves rice cereal, carrots, squash and peas!  She's not a fan of the fruit.  She scrunches up her face in disgust each time she tastes it!
