But today I'm especially grateful for...
1- Ryan and the love and patience he gives me. Thanks for going to Ikea with me!
2- Josh. I smile as I sit and watch him quietly play. Too cute!
3- Fish sticks and french fries. Actually I think they're gross, but they make a quick and easy dinner.
4- my comfortable bed. Soon!
5- magnets and a vacuum, which just helped me pick up my sewing pins that Josh spilled while I was typing this :) Hopefully I got them all!

Could I just have one day of clean???
Really, is it that hard to have just one day where the house is already clean and stays clean? On Friday, I was hoping for such a day. I had spent the previous day cleaning the entire house. Well, I got everything done except for my master bathroom. I had the cleaning solution already to go, when I got sidetracked for a moment. First mistake, never leave a cleaning bucket unattended with Josh nearby!
When I went back into the bathroom, there was Josh on top of the counter cleaning..."I keenen momma!" He was dipping our toothbrushes in the cleaning solution and scrubbing the mirror with them. GROSS! I guess wether we needed them or not, it was time for new toothbrushes.
So, I cleaned the counter off. When I was done, I went to see what Josh was up to. He had grabbed my make-up bag (second mistake!). So far, nothing wrong, until I spot the empty tube of chapstick. He had smeared it over his feet, hands and face. Add chapstick to the shopping list.
So no more cleaning. I was just going to spend the day playing with Josh. We had a snack and some chocolate milk. Not messy right? Wrong! Josh learned to blow bubbles...

Luckily, fun moment and a small mess!

Our snow angel...

We've gotten some snow the last few days. I'm not so happy about it, but Josh loves it! He learned how to make snow angels...too cute! He hasn't mastered flapping his legs and arms at the same time, but it still turns out in the end. We've also taught him how to have a snowball fight. Unfortunately, he looses more than he wins, but it's all fun (till someone gets hurt I guess). I'm hoping that spring/summer comes soon, but in the mean time at least Josh enjoys it!

"I hidin..."
Josh: Momma beckfas time
Mom: OK I'll be there in a sec
Mom goes into kitchen. Doesn't see Josh, but hear's a crunching noise in pantry...
Mom: Where are you?
Josh: I hidin
Mom: Where are you hiding?
Josh: in da frid (in the fridge - aka the pantry)
Josh is found eating a box of Cocoa Puffs with Madagascar 2 (which Josh calls Zoo) on the front of the box
Josh: I ea' in zoo
So I pour him a bowl of cereal, which he scarfs down. Then he proceeds to grab a packet of oatmeal.
Josh: beckfas time
Mom: You just ate breakfast
Josh: No, snack. Beckfas time now
Mom: You're silly
Josh: No, I cu (Cute)

Thank you Magic Eraser...

It's happened before and I'm sure it will happen many more times, the dreaded silence. You know that it's trouble brewing when it gets really quiet in the house. After noticing the stillness, I knew I had to investigate. Sure enough, there was trouble.
"Back mama - back" as he showed me his hands.
Josh found my markers and decided to put them to good use. Black everywhere - hands, table, pictures, etc. Thank heavens for Mr. Clean Magic Eraser! Everything cleaned up quite nicely. Don't worry, I've found a new home for the markers, but I'm sure he'll try to get into them again.
