Dinosaur Park

On Wednesday, we went with the family (Grandma, Trevor, Aunt Linda, Susan, KC, Stacy, and Danni) to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. Dispite the heat, we all had a fun time. Josh loved to feed the ducks and fish. He loved to "Roar" at the dinos. I was surprised that he wasn't afraid. Then I realized that it was because they weren't moving. When we took him into the museum to see the moving dinos, it was a different story. We didn't last very long in there.

Do you think we could just leave them here?

Splish Splash I was takin' a ....SHOWER!

Our little boy is growing up way too fast! He is now taking showers. Last week, Ryan was in the shower. Josh wanted to get in. So we stripped him down and put him in, expecting him to jump right out. Boy were we wrong. He loved it, so much so that now he won't even get in the bathtub. Whenever I turn the shower on for me, he comes running. Then he throws a fit because it's not his turn.

What's even funnier...after Ryan gets out of the shower, he sprays on some deodorant. After Josh gets out of the shower, he raises his arms waiting for his spray. Too fast I tell you!

"bop bop bop bop.."

Apparently the ducks at Layton park don't quack, they "bop". At least that's what Josh thinks they say. Sunday afternoon, we went over to Layton park to feed the ducks. Josh was too excited. He started running immediately. As we got to the pond, however, things quickly changed. He was very nervous at first. But as he watched Ryan feed the ducks, he started to warm up. He even got so brave that he put his hand out and fed a duck!

Aren't they precious!

After feeding the ducks, we went over to the playground. Josh loved going down the slide. Then we put him on a swing. It was his first time and I think that he had mixed feelings. His hands held on tight to the chain- white knuckles and all. His body was stiff and looked very uncomfortable. His teeth were clenched, but he still managed to "Wee-eeee" at every push. But, when Ryan would stop, Josh would grunt for more.

Pool Party...

On Wednesday, Kaitlyn come over for the afternoon. We filled up the pool and tried to go swimming. Josh's idea of swimming is holding the hose and squirting people. So he had lots of fun getting Kaitlyn wet. They had fun running around, splashing and squirting each other. It was cute when they were laying out on their towels (too bad I din't get a photo).

Yard work...

With the exception of the zoo and the children's museum, we haven't done much this summer. I've been busy with fun house projects (luckily for Ryan they're almost done). Ryan's been busy working in the yard. We're getting a shed so we can finally park the cars in the garage! I guess I shouldn't get too excited until it actually happens... Ryan had to prepare the spot for the shed. Josh was right by his side every minute.

Josh loves to dig. I think we're going to have to get him a sandbox.
