Can you believe that Josh is old enough for pre-school? We started a neighborhood Joy school with other kids Josh's age. He goes once a week on Tuesdays. The mom's take turns teaching. We stick with the basics - ABC's, colors, numbers, shapes. Really it just gives the kids a chance to learn and play at the same time. Ryan calls it a glorified day-care - "Mom's who want a break, so they take turns babysitting". I must admit, having time off is a great advantage.
The first day, Josh wasn't too excited on going. "I no go to school. I stay home and watch TD (TV)." He freaked out when it was time for me to leave him. Being the nice mom that I am, I stayed for another thirty minutes before sneeking out. When I picked him up, he started crying. "I no go home. I stay and play!" The crying would heighten as each kid left.
Overall he had a great day. He learned the letter A. See Ryan, babysitting can be educational too! :)
